Being Engaged by Scripture
The bible has been referred to as things like "an answer book" or "a user's manuel." Yet, when was the last time you read the "user's manuel" for your refrigerator? Did you enjoy the experience? Did it really help you out? Though Scripture has many principles for living, does Scripture refer to itself as such a manual? How does Scripture refer to itself? What role is it to have in our lives? How can we allow Scripture to 'read us' and engage us in life transforming ways?
